La Biennale Internationale d’Art Textile - Wettbewerb

Theme : l’Air du Temps – “The essence of our time”
Techniques : all techniques will be accepted.
Dimensions : 60 x 90 cm -152″ x 228″ (+ or- 5%) – vertical

Technical characteristics : The pieces (or quilts) must be predominantly of fabric which is sewn and/or stuck and have 3 layers. They can be group quilts. The addition of other materials is permitted.

Quilts should not be too fragile to avoid damage during transport. A sleeve of 6 cm (2.5”) ( or other method of hanging) must be sewn to the top on the back of the quilt, as well as a label at the bottom right-hand corner with surname, first name, address, telephone number, email address and the title of the work. The front of the quilt must not include the artist’s signature.

The pieces selected for this competition will be exhibited for the first time at the «Quilt Expo en Beaujolais» exhibition from April 11th to 14th 2018 at Villefranche-sur-Saône. They must never have been exhibited, nor published in a catalogue, book or magazine.

The prizes :

– First Jury’s prize : 1000 €
– 2nd and 3rd prizes : Gift offered by our sponsors, value : 500 € and 300 €
